I am an award-winning Environmentalist and Solutionist known for creating practical, hopeful climate solutions. With over 20 years working in the Amazon rainforest and being locked down in covid for 5 months in one of the most biodiverse cloud forests in the world, in Ecuador, I can speak from first hand experience. I am now dedicated to inspiring learners of all ages through nature-based education.

Whatever the age there is so much to learn.

I offer workshops covering the topics below which can be facilitated in the classroom/school grounds, outside in the landscape or on our own site at The Willows Lakeside Retreat.

Topics

1. Nature as Teacher and Inventor - Discover how Nature inspires human innovation!

2. Biodiversity - Explore why biodiversity matters—globally and locally.

3. Ethics and Language - Debate and reflect on our relationship with Nature.

4. Agriculture, Conservation & Rewilding - Understand the global food chain and its environmental impact.

All workshops are interactive sessions designed to inspire curiosity, deepen understanding of the natural world, and connect learning to real-world challenges. These can be tailored for different age groups and curriculum needs.

CPD

We know that spending time in Nature is good for our mental health but what can we do when we are outside? How can we learn to look through new eyes? I lead a sensory immersion using all our senses to learn about the world around us. We can learn from Natures patterns and principles, look back into the past imagining how the landscape once was and then step into the future and imagine how we would like it to be. The greatest teacher we have is the natural world, we just have to ask the right questions and understand the meaning of deep observation.

This activity can be held at the school or for an away day held at the The Willows Lakeside Retreat, where additional observation on conservation and rewilding can be learnt.
